Guest Speaker: Ruby Dewi – Scientist | Date: September 25, 2021
Ruby Dewi is the VP of programs at Olilux Biosciences Inc. in the US, as well as the South East Asia GM at Medilux Biosciences based in Singapore. Both companies are on a mission to make rapid and affordable TB testing more accessible to the world.
In addition to those two roles, Ruby is also an independent scientific writer who spent 10 years of her career with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University as a life science research professional before moving to Singapore.
Prior to that, Ruby was with the University of Maryland, Baltimore for 3 years as a research specialist.
Ruby holds a master of science degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from UCLA, graduated with magna cum laude.
Ruby has been an advocate of lifelong learning since her studying days in UCLA as both a teaching assistant and community service volunteer teacher at the LA County Office of Education. During her spare time these days, she enjoys reading and learning foreign language skills and she is committed to continuously improve her personal development skills.
